Cookie Policy
Last updated:
BITOR SOFTWARE SL, with Spanish tax ID (CIF) B72557697, informs users of the website textguardai.com about the use of cookies and similar technologies on the Site, in compliance with article 22.2 of Spanish Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (LSSI-CE) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in the User's browser or device when they visit the Site. Cookies allow the Site to recognise the User on subsequent visits, remember their preferences and offer personalised features (for example, keeping the session open or remembering the chosen language).
The Site may also use other similar technologies such as localStorage, sessionStorage or IndexedDB, to which the same principles described in this policy apply.
2. Types of cookies we use
TextGuardAI uses cookies and storage technologies classified by purpose:
2.1 Technical cookies (strictly necessary)
These are essential for the operation of the Site and the provision of the Services contracted by the User. They do not require prior consent under art. 22.2 LSSI-CE. If you disable them, the Site may not function properly.
- Session and authentication cookies(Supabase Auth): keep the User signed in after logging in. They include the access and refresh JWT tokens, stored in the browser's localStorage.
- UI preference cookies: remember the chosen language (
i18n-store), the light/dark theme, the selected currency (currency-store) and the text typed into the detector/humaniser so it is not lost when navigating (workspace-text). - Security cookies: verify request authenticity (CSRF / idempotency) and prevent automated attacks.
- Stripe cookies: necessary during the payment flow to process the transaction securely and prevent fraud. Managed entirely by Stripe. See Stripe's cookie policy.
2.2 Analytics and performance cookies
These cookies allow us to count visits and traffic sources to measure and improve the performance of the Site. They help us know which pages are the most and least popular and how visitors move around the Site. They require the User's prior consent and may be freely declined.
Currently, TextGuardAI does not use third-party analytics cookiessuch as Google Analytics, Mixpanel or similar. If any are integrated in the future, we will update this policy and request the User's consent through the cookie banner before installing them.
2.3 Marketing / advertising cookies
These are cookies used to track the User's navigation in order to display personalised advertisements or measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. They require explicit consent.
TextGuardAI does not use third-party marketing or advertising cookies. The Site does not display ads nor track User navigation for advertising purposes.
3. Third-party cookies
The only third parties that may install cookies or similar technologies through the Site are providers strictly necessary for the provision of the service:
- Supabase — User authentication and session. Policy: supabase.com/privacy.
- Stripe — payment processing and fraud prevention during checkout. Policy: stripe.com/legal/cookies-policy.
These cookies are considered technical because they are strictly necessary for the provision of the service requested by the User (signing in, processing a payment).
4. How to manage cookies
The User may manage cookies at any time through the following mechanisms:
4.1 From the browser settings
Most browsers allow cookies to be managed through their settings: accept, decline or delete them. Note that, if you block technical cookies, the Site may not function properly (for example, you will not be able to sign in or complete payments).
4.2 Withdrawing consent
When TextGuardAI integrates non-essential cookies (analytics or marketing), the User may withdraw their consent at any time through the cookie preferences panel accessible from the footer of the Site. Withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
5. Cookie duration
The cookies used by TextGuardAI can be session cookies (deleted when the browser is closed) or persistent (remaining until expiry or until the User deletes them):
- Supabase Auth session: access token with a 1-hour duration; refresh token with configurable duration (7 days by default) to keep the session alive.
- UI preferences (language, theme, currency, workspace text): persistent in localStorage until the User deletes them manually or clears browser data.
- Stripe cookies: duration managed by Stripe; see its policy.
6. Changes to the Cookie Policy
TextGuardAImay modify this Cookie Policy to adapt it to legislative or case-law changes or changes in the Site's integration with third parties. Users are advised to review this page periodically. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the document.
7. Contact
For any query regarding this Cookie Policy, the User may contact BITOR SOFTWARE SL at support@textguardai.com or by post at C/Milanesat 5, Local 1, 08017 Barcelona, Spain.
